Pasifika Collective (PACO)

Pasifika Collective (PACO) was created to build the kind of space many Pacific Island students were looking for. A community rooted in culture, connection, and belonging. As the only Pacific Islander student organization on campus, we’re intentional about creating visibility while making sure no one feels alone in their identity.

We meet weekly to learn more about the Pacific Island diaspora, talk story, and spend time together. Throughout the year, we host events like Thanksgiving and holiday socials, tailgates and football games, volleyball nights, and trips to local reggae concerts. We’ve held dance and lei-making workshops, fundraised at events like the Tucson Asian Night Market, and continue finding new ways to celebrate and share Pacific Islander culture on campus and the greater Tucson area.

Some of us grew up surrounded by culture. Some of us didn’t. PACO exists for both and for everyone who wants to learn alongside us.
