3 Pillars of Connection
Community Belonging
The Community Belonging pillar acknowledges the importance of fostering meaningful connections to strengthen students’ sense of identity and purpose. When students feel valued, supported and connected to a campus community, they are more likely to access university resources and achieve their educational goals.
Holistic Wellness
The Holistic Wellness pillar recognizes that a student’s wellbeing encompasses more than the mind. It extends further to assert the importance of the body, spirit and social environment and the interconnectedness that binds them. This is reflected in the pillar’s multidimensional approach to programming which highlights financial, physical, environmental, creative, spiritual, and social wellness in its offerings.
Advocacy for Self & Others
The Advocacy for Self & Others pillar emphasizes the importance of empowering students to understand their needs, amplify voices, and engage as active contributors within their communities. By fostering self-awareness, confidence, and communication skills, this pillar supports students in navigating systems, accessing resources, and making informed decisions that impact their academic and personal journeys. Programming within this pillar encourages students to develop the skills necessary for self-advocacy while also cultivating a sense of responsibility to support and uplift others.
