We are the University of Arizona SACNAS Chapter! The Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) is an all-inclusive society that aims to further the success of Chicano/Hispanic and Native American students in obtaining advanced degrees, careers, leadership positions, and equality in the STEM field.
Our group consists of undergraduate students, graduate, students, faculty, and alumni participating in science education outreach, volunteer experiences, research opportunities, and mentoring! We are dedicated to uplifting one another, giving back to local Tucson communities, and providing the resources for academic and professional success in STEM. We meet once a month and host a science outreach event, volunteer event, or professional development event monthly!
