About us:
With a history of over 30 years, it has served students from all backgrounds. Today, it continues to serve as a vital hub dedicated to fostering a sense of belonging, advocacy, and scholarly excellence within the University of Arizona community, while also serving as an essential resource for Black students.
The MLK Jr. Student Space is more than just a spot on campus, it’s a vibrant hub where belonging meets purpose. We’re here to celebrate culture, fuel academic excellence, and champion the voices and achievements of Black students and leaders at the University of Arizona.
From dynamic programs and leadership opportunities to conversations on social justice and community building, this is where you’ll find resources, inspiration, and connections that last far beyond graduation.
Whether you’re here to dive into African American cultural experiences, sharpen your leadership skills, or simply connect with amazing people, all students are welcome. This is your invitation to explore, grow, and be part of something bigger.
The mission is achieved through a focus on four key areas:
- Building community among currently enrolled students
- Providing personal and leadership development opportunities
- Advancing the on-going development of a culturally competent campus community
- Supporting diversity initiatives at the University of Arizona
All resources and events are offered free of charge and are open to all students!
